Our Story...the House that Love Built

The Stoddard County Children's Home began as an idea in 1979. Melvin "Churn" Williams, who served as the County Juvenile Officer, saw the need to provide temporary shelter care for the youth of the county.

Our mission is to provide a safe haven for abused and neglected children in Stoddard County. With our dedicated board of directors and compassionate staff, we are driven to meet the physical, nutritional, educational, and emotional needs of the children in our care.

Stoddard County Children's Home is a licensed Residential Child Care Agency providing emergency placement to children in the court system. We are open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Individuals from each town in Stoddard County form our Board of Directors and work to ensure the highest standard of care for our children.

We urge you to become a supporter today! Your generosity helps provide care for the children who need it most!
